NEQCA Physicians perform in top ranks in recent Patient Experience Survey

March 18, 2019

For the 14th year, Massachusetts Health Quality Partners (MHQP) released the results of its annual survey assessing patient experiences in primary care. This is the only publicly-reported statewide survey of patient experience in Massachusetts. The 2018 results show NEQCA in the top three ranks (out of ten comparative groups) for 7 out of 8 measures for adults and 8 out of 9 measures for pediatrics.

Significant improvements were seen in the “Integration of Care,” “Communication” and “Willingness to recommend” categories. “We are so proud of physicians and staffs who provide the highest quality of care to all of our patients,” said Dr. Jatin Dave, NEQCA Medical Director.

As  Dr. Joe Frolkis. NEQCA President and CEO wrote in an article on Better Care, “Better Care is about improving how our physicians communicate, how thorough they are in delivering explanations and how well they understand and engage their patients. It’s not about settling for good service but, instead, always aiming to improve. Better Care means striving to not only meet but fully understand a patient’s individualized needs.” To learn more about what NEQCA is doing to support the Quadruple Aim goal of Better Care, click here.
