NEQCA Makes Opioid Resource Guide Available to More Providers and Partners
April 19, 2018
In an effort to identify and eliminate health care disparities and to ensure that all patients have equal access to high quality health services, New England Quality Care Alliance (NEQCA), in collaboration with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, has undertaken a Health Equity Initiative.
As part of this initiative, NEQCA created the NEQCA Opioid Resource Guide, with help from its network clinicians. The guide serves as an educational tool and resource in prescribing and managing patients on opioids, and assists in identifying available services for patients with substance use disorders.
Originally distributed to affiliated practices at NEQCA’s Annual Forum in October 2017, an electronic version of the guide is now available to all who would like to use it.
"The response we’ve received from our network clinicians has been terrific,” said Yvonne LeBlanc, NEQCA’s Clinical Pharmacy Team Lead. “And we are thrilled to make this important resource available to a broader population of providers and partners.”
