Get Ready for Three NEQCA Connection Events in 2018
March 13, 2018
We’re building upon the successful program we piloted last year and will host three NEQCA Connection events in 2018. Like the NEQCA Connection eNewsletter, the goal of these events is to connect NEQCA colleagues to important information – and each other. The first event – on April 23 – will focus on palliative care and will feature Erik Fromme, MD, MCR, FAAHPM, Director of Serious Illness Programs at Ariadne Labs and a member of the Outpatient Palliative Care Clinic at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. In this program, you’ll learn:
- The difference between palliative care and hospice care;
- How to identify patients for palliative care referral; and
- How to incorporate communication strategies to understand patient goals and values in a primary care setting and personalize treatment plans, based on patient preferences.
NEQCA affiliates should click here to register for the April 23 program, which we’re hosting at the Boston Dedham Hilton. Complimentary beer, wine, soft drinks and appetizers will be provided, and seating is limited. This event is sponsored by NEQCA’s Pharmaceutical Care and Cost Management program.
Remember, if you’re a NEQCA Primary Care Physician, you can earn a portion of your 2018 NEQCA Citizenship points by attending either the NEQCA Annual Forum or two of the three NEQCA Connection events offered in 2018. NEQCA affiliates can also click here to review the program flyer and save the dates for all three events, and join the new NEQCA Connection group on NEQCAnet.
